OPERATION

OBJECTIVE AND PURPOSE

The objective of the Postgraduate Programme (MSc) in "Advanced Clinical Nursing" is to provide high-level postgraduate education and specialized scientific knowledge in the fields of Emergency Nursing, Cardiovascular Nursing, and Surgical Nursing. These fields address modern requirements for advanced clinical nursing care in specialized settings such as Intensive Care Units, High Dependency Units, hospital wards, and operating rooms.

The purpose is to introduce postgraduate students to scientific nursing research and guide them in this area, enabling them to understand, participate in, and interpret research projects and findings, as well as to design and conduct research.

The Programme leads to the award of a Postgraduate Diploma in "Advanced Clinical Nursing"—following the full and successful completion of studies in accordance with the curriculum—in the following specializations:

1. Intensive Care and Emergency Nursing. 

2. Nursing of Cardiovascular Diseases

3. Surgical Nursing

 

The degrees are awarded by the Department of Nursing of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
